You Are to Die For!

How much are you worth? Where did your sense of worth come from? Who told you what your value is, and do you believe it? You can always tell when someone truly values themselves. It's evident in their closest relationships, the activities they choose to engage in, the way they talk about themselves, and to others. In this day and age of social media, high light reels, and comparison traps, it's easy to assume everyone has it together, and everyone is excelling at everything, before you know you start looking to a total stranger for values and standards.

I love the story of in Number 13: 31-33. As the Israelites were led out of bondage God promised them a land flowing with milk a honey. He promised them prosperity in the land of Canaan. Moses sent some leaders to scout out the land, and get an idea of who was living there, and what the details of the area were like. When the men got there they came back with this report: "the land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size...We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them." What I love about this biblical account it the fact that the Israelites not only felt small, and incapable, but they had convinced themselves that other people saw them that way too.

Don't allow anyone to speak negativity, judgement, or condemnation into your life. Be kind to yourself, speak words of life, love, and victory over yourself. Your value , and worth can't be diminished by anyone. You're a King's kid, the king of kings, and he believed you were to die for. God sent this only son to die for me and you, because he desperately wanted to reconnect with you. God created you intentionally with gifts, skills, and a purpose that's unique to you. Make the decision today to believe what God says about you, and what he promises you.

Be Blessed & Be a Blessing!
