Top 3 Ways to Keep Your Peace

Happy Monday Ya'll I want to encourage you to start the week off with a positive and powerful mindset. You don't have to live in a state of doom and gloom just because you face a challenge, and you don't have to let your circumstances dictate how you should feel.

Here's 3 ways to to keep your peace even in the face of difficulties:

  1. Worship Instead of Worry. There's something powerful that happens when we make the choice to shift our focus from one thing to another. When you worship God in song it takes your mind off of you, and points it back to God. He is powerful, he is mighty, and he is able to do what we can't.

  2. Examine where you are putting your trust. Are you putting your trust in yourself, in your situation, or in someone's ability to produce a certain result? The thing is people will always fall short, that's just the nature of being human. Therefore putting your sole trust and hope in anyone (including yourself) is a recipe for disaster. The good news is God is able to do everything we're hoping and praying for. We have to be mindful to let God do his part, and do our part.

  3. Think about what you're thinking about. Be mindful of your thoughts. Reject any thoughts that interfere with your peace. We don't have to give room to every thought that enters our minds. As soon as thoughts of worry, anger, anxiety, and fear enter our minds we need to reject those invasive thoughts.
